Senator Durbin,

As your constituent of the State of Illinois, I am writing to respectfully request you vote to oppose S.1 "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009" as well as any and all future Bills that promote "Big Government" wastefull spending of taxpayer money.  I believe this Bill is not a Bill of "Stimulus," but a Bill to expand the United States Government and it's obvious encroachment of it's citizen's Unablienable Rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I further fear for my children and grandchildren, who will ulitmately be paying the price for Bills such as S.1 which promote big government wasteful spending.

In addition, I would like to respond to your email regarding the confirmation of Eric Holder to the office of Attorney General.  You wrote to inform me, Mr. Holder "garnered the support of various law enformcement agencies" to include the Faternal Order of Police.  I can tell you with certainity, as a police officer and a member of the Faternal Order of Police, I did not, nor do I support his confirmation as Attorney General.

You stated, Mr. Holder was nominated by President Reagan to Superior Court Judge, however, that was of course before he helped to pardon the FLAN Terrorist.

You further had the audacity to write the Justice Department over the past eight years had placed political interests above priniple.  With all due respect Senator Durbin, that is exactly what you will be doing if you vote to approve S.1.

Your judgment in my eyes has been severely impaired, especially, since you publically announced your support for Tom Daschle, who alledgedly cheated the federal government out of more than $100,000 in taxes, all the while, I am expected to pay my taxes.  "He's the most honest man, you know"?

Talk about putting political interests above principle.
